2023 AFF Dance Band Application

The 48th Annual Alaska Folk Festival is scheduled for April 10-16, 2023, at two Juneau locations: Juneau Arts and Culture Center (JACC) and Juneau-Douglas High School (JDHS) Auditorium. Dance sets will take place on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday (April 13-15) at the JACC. Dance sets run about 50 minutes. Dances are scheduled according to space and availability. There is not guarantee that all who apply will get to play.

Completed applications must be received NO LATER THAN 5:00 p.m., Friday, March 3, 2023. The tentative schedule will be sent to all applicants no later than March 10, 2023. This schedule will be your confirmation of a performance spot.

Release Authorization

I hereby authorize the live broadcast of my/our performance at the 48th Annual Alaska Folk Festival over KRNN-FM during the week of April 10-16, 2023. I also authorize the use of my/our performance, both live and recorded, for distribution to the public over non-commercial radio stations and over the internet.

I understand that KRNN-FM and the Alaska Folk Festival will not be able to provide monetary compensation for my/our performance, and that Alaska Folk Festival Inc. will not be held liable for lost gear or other personal belongings.

The release is required to submit a performer application.

Festival Volunteers Needed

Will you volunteer a few hours this year? Volunteering is fun, easy, and teaches you how the festival works. Choosing to volunteer will not have a bearing on your Performers Application, but volunteers are essential to the success of every festival.
